I love these menswear Valentino sneakers for SS13! Please make them for women as well. The collection is so cool, I would love this for women. I think it would be a hit! A little bit of a Celine vibe. Minimal, urban and ultra-chic. Really love these sneakers, damn!

Prada went Japan. A very girlish collection with a geisha touch. The collection moved from dark to light with flower pop-arty prints as a red thread trough the collection. I personally am not a huge fan of these very simple, almost childish, flower prints. I do really love the shoes! And the look, it’s quite a serious look. It’s the prints, styling and colors that make it girlish en geisha. But the look is serious and strict. I really like that. Miuccia Prada always manages to be new and modern, avant-garde.

Lately I spy men who are better at layering in their style than women do. Different colors, prints and textures are mixed very well and subtle. They actually inspire me in my own wardrobe. I even notice with my own man that he starts styling himself a lot more than he used to do. Maybe it’s because of me, that could be a possibility, but I think men get a much better access to high fashion and styling because of many blogs and more and more cool brands and stores just for men’s fashion. Nice development!

Love this Green vibe in Milan. Especially that vintage green furry Prada coat with the printed slacks that Aurora Sansone(Vogue Italia) is wearing. On her right is her always well dressed colleague Viviana Volpicella. And the lady in the beautiful Green suit is Silvia Bergomi, Stylist and Fashion Editor. And as you can see, Green is a great match with brunettes!

I was browsing websites and blogs when I came across these look book pictures of Marios SS12 collection at the YOUNG FRANK – blog. I am stunned by the prints they are so amazing and sharp. When the fabric is pleaded it give it another dimension. The colors and the prints reminded me of Dries van Noten SS12 collection, which I adored.

Marios was founded by Mayo Loizou and Leszek Chmielewski. A Greek Cypriot and a Pole who began their quest for texture, form and design in 2001 in Japan. In 2005 they’ve opened a flagship store in Tokyo. Now they are based in Milan. Their main interest is to find a balance between aesthetics and functuonality. They focus on contempory, unisex and convertible garments that are for everyday use. They are frequently collaborating with a variety of artist and brands in forms other than fashion

This is the first time in years I really loved an Emporio Armani collection. I am still going loco for his work from the 90′s, but for the last couple of years it seemed a bit dull. But this Spring/Summer 2012 campaign got me smiling again. It looks fresh and elegant. And how badly do I want those snakeskin with plastic platforms! The models are Tao Okamoto, Kendra Spears and Wang Xiao.

Marni SS12

Milan has shown me a new favorite collection for this season. Marni! The clean shaped silhouettes, fabrics and their manipulations and the poppy colors are very well brought together. Designer Consuelo Castiglioni talks about an innocence and purity, but with a twist of the classic. I like the organza skirts peeking out underneath the garments and the nude socks. I think it’s sexy, cause it refers to classic lingerie. Great styling. I can’t wait to see and touch these pieces for real. It looks more like couture than pret-a-porter to me, which I love, because it makes a garment a lot more valuable and timeless. It’s craftsmanship, it’s beautiful.

Prada SS12

YAY! Finally Prada wowed me again! “Sweetness” Miuccia Prada says. Sweet it is, but I’m stunned by how she can transform sweetness into cool and ‘feminine’ sweetness. It’s not cliche, it’s not girly girl sweetness, it’s cool! It had kind of a 50′s feel again, but in a more sexy way than a few seasons ago, when everybody got inspired by Mad Men. This is more Rock & Roll 50′s sweetness. I especially love the pastel pleated dresses and those glasses… wowy!
