I always look forward to the Resort and Pre-Fall collections from Givenchy because of the great photography by Angelo Pennetta. And these streets look particularly familiar: I had to double check on Google-maps to be extra sure but this is the building I lived in, in Williamsburg in 2010 on Roebling/Metropolitan. “My window” is not in the picture but just one floor up on the third floor.
Great resort collection and I am especially crazy about the last, all black, look.

First of all : how could I have missed this!? I am mesmerised by these cow looks! I’ll keep my eyes open for a pair of vintage cow skin pants from now on, they are just a must-have. And second I must admit I like Givenchy’ pre-fall and resort collections better than the big SS- or FW-shows and it has everything to do with Angelo Pennetta. His photographs just knock me of my feet. It so nice to see the models on the street instead of a clinical white background, bravo!

I sense a dark animal vibe. I think Givenchy relaunched this trend. The last shirt with the bulldog is by Givenchy. I still remember the Christopher Kane shirts with the screaming scary monkeys about 2 or 3 years ago. But I love this new approach and the first 2 lady’s who styled these dark animals with sexy, feminine and powdery colored skirts. The fun thing about this trend is that you can search for these kind of shirts in Vintage stores as well, for my lady’s with a smaller budget. Lots of these printed shirts were produced in the 90′s.

I noticed a cute and sporty accessory for this winter • the cap. The first cap is by Givenchy, second by MIUMIU and the last green cap is by Diane von Furstenberg. I personally really like the MIUMIU cap. Especially combined with a classy look. So if you’re still looking for winter accessories, buy yourself a wool designer cap.

I’m yelling YES!!!! Riccardo Tisci is back! Finally… I used to love Givenchy a few years ago, but these past few years have been very disappointing to me. But this collection is amazing! Can you feel my joy? It does remind me of the first collections of Nicolas Ghesquiere at Balenciaga. But that’s a huge compliment. I immediately want to wear all of the outfits above and especially the glittery one. One single comment, the necklaces with the huge teeth… not so pretty and too massive in contrast with the refined and slim garments.
