I think I found a new must-have item! These signature necklaces by Brevity. They’re made by Anna Corpron, a jewelry designer based in the USA. These custom made necklaces are unique items you can order in her web-shop. Of course you need to have a really cool signature that’s pretty enough to hang around your neck, but I honestly think mine is cool enough! Ieh! I want one! In gold though.

I spotted a trend I’d love to pull off this summer. A designer bustier top worn over your baggy t-shirt. I love it!!! Reminds me of Madonna in a very very modern new way.

Roderick is a lovely young fashion design student from ArtEZ, Arnhem. Last year he interned at Alexander Wang in New York City and he’s working on his graduation collection as we speak. I personally think he’s a very talented and charming guy that I loved spending time with when I was still in school. When I saw this small collection of his, I knew I had to post it! I love the style, the way the fabrics seem to glow like the milky-way and the way the clothes seem to move on the pictures. A very successful Toile-de-Luxe if you ask me. I asked him what the collection was all about and who he’s chosen to work with.
“The idea behind my collection is going back to our roots, far far back, in prehistory. A big primal feeling I am having at this moment. The awareness where everything passes us by so quickly and so fast right now, sometimes without even noticing. Which almost gives me the feeling of living like a robot. So where did we, as humans, start. Where did we still use all our senses and nerves. Going back to a time where people lived in extreme basics and all things arose from working in primary conditions.” He said.
He has collected an all American team for his Toile-de-Luxe shoot and he travelled back to New York City to make it work. And he did. We’re looking forward to graduation!

Another huge applaud for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen! One really high end luxurious and beautifully styled collection. They’ve proven themselves to be very consistent in their collections. One after another makes you want to have everything. And their sense of styling really inspires me every time. I want to wear leggings underneath cropped tailored trousers now! That first look is actually my dream look for now. An oversized really soft and cozy sweater tucked in a Kimono kind of skirt with a nice sexy slit. And the ruffled shoes are super cute, I like some volume on your feet, makes the shoes stand out. This fall, they obviously continued experimenting with the Asian techniques like obi-style wraps, voluminous folds and skirts and dresses over pants. I think this collection and the look they created here is intellectual, chic and shows personality. I love it.

Spotted! During Men’s fashion weeks. These Louis Vuitton blanket scarfs. She’s even wearing the matching jacket. It’s perfect for this damn cold weather. Extreme luxury, but hey, that’s what Vuitton is all about. And it looks chic! Even kind of street and urban. Makes me wanna throw a blanket around my neck, but this one is probably Cashmere and incredibly soft.

“Dressing up in a romantic, traditional way,” was Phoebe Philo’s inspiration for pre-fall 2013. I’m not sure what tradition she meant with that, but I like the look! I’m collecting more three-quarter-length pleated skirts in my closet as well, so I’m feeling that vibe. Unfortunately I haven’t found a pleated skirt in leather like this one! The shoes are awesome. Especially the low/flat ones. I’m not such a huge fan of the high platforms. That trend got picked up by the wrong crowd. I notice Phoebe is pushing herself to create totally new looks and to be unexpected. Which has worked for this pre-fall 2013 collection, because this was so not what I had expected of her. But I like it, it’s edgy and cool.

I love these menswear Valentino sneakers for SS13! Please make them for women as well. The collection is so cool, I would love this for women. I think it would be a hit! A little bit of a Celine vibe. Minimal, urban and ultra-chic. Really love these sneakers, damn!

A wonderful wearable collection with amazing accessories! I really love the watery prints and the cool girly looks. And the shoes… The shoes are perfection. Not really for every day wear, but still. I notice that all the PRE collections are becoming a lot more important than before. Those are the more commercial and wearable collections and because of that important for the branding of a label. I would definitely want this Proenza Schouler look in my closet!

It’s becoming so cold here in Amsterdam! So I thought it was time for a new must-have look. And people, this amazing turtleneck sweater by Alexander Wang is even on sale! I’m lighting my house with candles all day to make me feel warm and cozy, and Diptique is one of my favorite brands when it comes to scented candles. In winter I can’t live without some good skin recovery salve by Kiehls. My skin gets really dehydrated and dry in these cold months. Honestly I could not wear those pumps outside right now since it’s raining cats and dogs here, but the color is so nice! And I love a classic shaped pare of heels. But hey, in my house they’d look fabulous!
